Yesterday marks the launch of the “Coca-Cola Recycling Academy”, a new initiative from The Coca-Cola Company and Swire Coca-Cola HK to make recycling and the circular economy more visible, relatable and engaging.
Built around the idea of “Visible Circularity”, the Academy brings the recycling journey to life for secondary school students through:
🎮 Interactive learning – A free educational resource package featuring gamified experiences
🏭 See recycling in action – Opportunities to visit New Life Plastics and guided tours at the Hong Kong Coca-Cola Museum to learn about Hong Kong circular economy
Why does seeing the journey matter? Our latest survey found that 81.7% of respondents would be more willing to recycle plastic bottles after learning about Hong Kong’s local recycling capabilities.
The Academy is an opportunity to help more people understand what happens after a bottle is collected for recycling and how it can begin its next chapter.
